Beethoven'in Dokuzuncu Senfonisi'nin son bölümü ve Schiller'in 'Ode to joy' eseri AB'nin marşıdır. İlk olarak dokuz yıldızlı mavi bayrak ile birlikte Avrupa Konseyi tarafından kullanılmıştır.

The EU-Convention proposes making "Ode to joy" into the anthem of the Union. Avrupa Konvansiyonu 'Ode to joy' u Avrupa Birliği'nin resmi milli marşı yapmayı planlamaktadır.
